You wouldn’t think it by looking at the final score, but last night’s starting pitcher for the Tides had a very good game. Cade Povich (Camden Chat’s #9 prospect) pitched six strong innings with zero walks and eight strikeouts. He gave up four hits and two runs. Just one run was earned due to a passed ball. Povich now has just a 2.08 ERA in nine starts for the Tides. He has struggled with walks this season so seeing that zero is encouraging.
The Tides scored early and often in this one, putting together back-to-back four-run innings in the third and fourth and scoring at least one run in each of innings two through six.
