COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas State Softball's 2024 campaign ended after an 8-0 loss in the program's first Championship Sunday appearance since 2003. The team finished the year with a 47-15 record, the team's best since head coach Ricci Woodard's first season in charge of the program.
Additionally, Texas State finished the season as Sun Belt Conference Tournament Champions, top 25 in the RPI, making its 13th NCAA tournament appearance and with 47 wins.
The program also graduates nine seniors this year, including two fifth year players Sara Vanderford and Tori McCann.
